I have several favorite bible verses and prayers that really speak to me in certain situations. I wanted to outline those here in hopes that they're an inspiration for someone else as well.
James 1:2-3
Consider it all joy, my friends, when you encounter various trials. For it is the testing of your faith that produces perseverance. (It's ALL good!)
Romans 12:12
Rejoice in hope. Endure in affliction. Persevere in prayer.
Psalm 37:23-24
Those whose steps are guided by the Lord, whose way God approves, may stumble but they will never fall, for the Lord holds their hand.
Philippians 1:6
I am quite confident that the One who began a good work in you (me!) will go on completing it until the day Jesus Christ comes.
Philippians 4:6
Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving make your requests known to God. And the peace of God, which
transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Jesus Christ.
John 3:30
He must increase, but I must decrease.
Faithful God,
Whose life flows through all the seasons,
BLESS THIS WOMAN.
Breathe new life in her to renew and refresh her spirit.
Calm her nerves and allow her to lift her voice in praise to You.
Let her know that she is exactly where she’s supposed to be on her spiritual journey.
Warm her with cherished memories and delight her in the wisdom she shares.
Be with her now as she opens her hands in a spirit of letting go.
Open her heart so that she can hear the whispers of Your voice and Your words.
May she know that she is loved as she has loved.
Fill her with Your radiant joy.
And gift her with the peace of being among sisters in Christ. |

O Sacred Heart of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to You I consecrate and offer up my person and my life, my actions, trials, and sufferings, that my entire being may henceforth only be employed in loving, honoring, and glorifying You. This is my irrevocable will, to belong entirely to You, and to do all for Your Love, renouncing with my whole heart all that can displease You.
I take You, O Sacred Heart, for the sole object of my love, the protection of my life, the pledge of my salvation, the remedy of my frailty and inconstancy, the reparation for all the defects of my life, and my secure refuge at the hour of my death. I fear all from my own weakness and malice, but place my entire confidence in You, O Heart of Love, I hope for all from Your infinite Goodness.
Annihilate in me all that can displease or resist You. Imprint Your pure Love so deeply in my heart that I may never forget You or be separated from You. I beseech You, through Your infinite Goodness, grant that my name be engraved on Your Heart. In this I place all my happiness and all my glory, to live and to die as one of Your devoted servants. Amen.
Dear Lord,
In this stressful world, Yours is the Presence that quiets me,
The Voice that calms me, the Touch that comforts me,
And the Love that helps me remember what is important in each day.
You are everything to me.
